CHARYSZYN TO ATTEND CLARKSON NEXT FALL

Jr Flyers Alumnus and current Waterloo Black Hawks second-year forward Kevin Charyszyn had a strong October, and Thursday he opened November by announcing his commitment to Clarkson University for the 2017/18 season.
The Jamison, Pennsylvania, native is one point shy of matching his 2015/16 scoring total after just one month this year.  Charyszyn is currently third in team scoring with 11 points (five goals, six assists).  His year has already included a pair of shorthanded goals – scored in back-to-back games last month against the Lincoln Stars – and one game-winner.   His +8 plus/minus differential is tied for third on this season’s squad.
“Kevin is doing everything you would expect from a veteran and a 20-year-old,” noted Black Hawks Head Coach P.K. O’Handley.  “Last year, he delivered at timely moments and made many contributions which did not appear in the stats.  His start this season has been good, and there is a lot of promise for the future, both short- and long-term.
Serving as a valuable role player for the Hawks in 2015/16, Charyszyn notched six goals and six assists in his first United States Hockey League season.  He also appeared in all nine Black Hawks postseason games last spring.
