The 16U National team went 2-1-1 in Tier I Elite League action this weekend in Detroit.

They started our with a tough 3-2 loss vs Milwaukee giving up a goal late in the 3rd period. Greg Japchen opened the scoring for the Jr. Flyers. After giving up 2 goals, Michael Bolger came through on the Power Play  midway in the 3rd to tie the game at 2. An unfortunate breakdown in the defensive zone allowed a late 3rd period goal by Milwaukee.  Frankie Petkunas save 27 of 30 Milwaukee Shots for the Flyers.

In their 2nd game  vs St Louis, Ryan Diegel and Tucker Forte scored early for the Jr Flyers, however St Louis was able to tie the game in the 3rd, and won in OT.

The Jr Flyers rebounded nicely to defeat TPH 3-1 lead by Michael Cameron's 2 goals.

The 16 team finished the Showcase with an impressive 4-2 victory over the Chicago Fury. Day, Citera, Weimer and Cameron scores for Philly, and Hunter Thomas was solid in net for the Jr. Flyers.
