19U Forward, Ainsley Shin, Commits to St. Olaf College (NCAA D-III)

The Philadelphia Jr Flyers are proud to announce the commitment of forward, Ainsley Shin, to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  The St. Olaf Oles compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), along with: Augsburg, Bethel, Concordia, Gustavus, Hamline, Saint Benedict, Saint Mary’s, St. Catherine, and St. Thomas.

Shin is a Senior at The Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA.  The 5’1”, 115-lbs. LW is currently in her 3rd season with the Jr Flyers Girls program.  Coach Mary Restuccia has coached her for the past 2 seasons and stated that Shin has been “an absolute pleasure to coach”.   Restuccia described Shin’s style as feisty and hard-working, while also praising her ability to “do the little things right”.

When asked about her commitment to St. Olaf’s, Restuccia replied “I think Ainsley will be a great addition to the St. Olaf’s team as they are rebuilding their program by recruiting players (like Ainsley) who are dedicated and determined, on and off the ice.”

Congrats, Ainsley!  St. Olaf College Class of ’24.
