The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers are pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending October 27, 2019. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Peewee, Bantam and Midget levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Bantam Player of the Week – Brayton Frick, Forward, Bantam Major
Brayton Frick had five points (4 goals and 1 assist) in two AYHL games this past weekend. Frick had a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 3 – 3 tie against the New Jersey Colonials, and he had a hat trick in Sunday’s 4 – 2 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Frick has thirteen points (7 goals and 6 assists) in six AYHL games this season.

“I thought our team played well this past weekend” stated head coach Tyler Hostetter. “We worked hard. Brayton had two great games tallying five points. Congrats to him and the team” concluded Hostetter.

Pee Wee Player of the Week – Braeden Graham, Center, Pee Wee Major

The 2007 Philadelphia Jr. Flyers were looking to get back in the win column this weekend when they traveled to Ice Works to take on the Little Flyers on Sunday.  The team was able to get that 5-2 win as they fed off the grit and determination of this week's player of the week, Braeden Graham.  Braeden posted a goal and a +3 plus/minus for the day.

"We came out sluggish in the first period, and in fact fell behind 1-0 after a power play goal by the Little Flyers." said Coach Joe Moran.  "I sent Braeden's line out on the very next shift and demanded they get the team going.  Braeden won a key faceoff in the offensive zone, and then he and Matt La Buono battled along the boards to get the puck out to Michael Conneen on the blue line who proceeded to put the puck in the net for us. The team took off from that moment, and Braeden in particular continued to win battles in the faceoff circle, along the boards and in the open ice.  Four of our goals were scored while Braeden was out centering the offense, and he was able to get one to go for himself later in the game to help seal the win.  I was very happy with Braeden's performance and how the team responded to that effort” concluded Moran.
