Jr. Flyers Girls 19UAA forward Raelena Hughes makes NCAA commitment to King’s College

The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Girls Program is pleased to announce that 19U AA forward Raelena “Rae” Hughes has committed to play NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey for the King’s College Monarchs.

Hughes,17, has four goals and five assists this season. The Coatesville, PA native leads the 19U AA team in total points. Hughes is a right-handed shot.

“I am proud to be continuing my education and my hockey career at King's College” said Hughes. “I want to thank my family, parents, friends, and coaches for the hard work they have put in to helping me achieve this accomplishment” concluded Hughes.

“Rae Hughes is a pleasure to coach” stated 19UAA head coach Nick Kaminsky. “She is a driven athlete, with a never-ending motor and willingness to learn and push herself to be better.  She is quick to the puck and possesses a deceptive and powerful shot.  She is looked upon as a leader by her teammates with her consistent work ethic and attitude” concluded Kaminsky.

King’s College is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Monarchs head coach is Brice Baricevic.
