Long-Time Jr Flyer makes her college commitment

The Philadelphia Jr Flyers are excited to announce the acceptance of 19U Forward, Jackie Miller, to Bowdoin College, where she will continue her hockey career within the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).  The NESCAC consists of highly selective and competitive liberal arts colleges, both academically and athletically.  Bowdoin is located in Brunswick, Maine and was founded in 1794.

Miller has been with the Jr Flyers Girls since the programs’ inception in 2015, making this her 5th season with the organization. During those years, she has shown natural leadership, a great work ethic, and a positive attitude.  Miller is a 5’4”, 133-lbs. right-handed center.  She will be bringing a reliable two-way presence to the Polar Bears offensive unit.  She is a hard worker, with tons of speed and good hockey IQ.

When asked about Miller, Jr Flyers coach Mary Restuccia said, “We’ve all heard the phrase “lead by example”. This phrase describes Jackie to the core. Regardless of the score, Jackie gives 110% and always finds a way to get the job done. With her tenacity and grit, she will be a great addition to Bowdoin’s roster. Collectively, as a JRF organization, we wish her the best of luck and continued success in all future endeavors.”

Congratulations to Jackie and her family!  Bowdoin Polar Bears ’24.
