West Chester, PA – The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers are proud to announce the commitment of Emily Bozzi to Suffolk University (NCAA D-III).  The campus is located in historic Beacon Hill, Boston, and the Rams compete in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).  Former Boston College standout, Taylor Wasylk, is the programs first-and-only head coach as they enter their 3rd season, hoping to build on their success of reaching the conference finals last season.

Bozzi is in her 11th season with the Quakers/Jr Flyers Girls program, including 5 with the Jr Flyers Tier I Girls.  The senior attends the Philadelphia Hockey Academy and plays forward for the 19UAAA team.  Bozzi had a breakout season in 2019-20, scoring a career-high 28 goals. Bozzi uses her body and her frame extremely well to create space for herself and her teammates.  She competes hard for pucks and maintains a strong center of gravity, while utilizing a powerful stride and an excellent shot release.

Jr Flyers Coach/GM, Chris Baer, said “it has been truly amazing to watch the maturation and development of Emily over these past 5 seasons together.  She has come such a long way in that time, and I am proud to have shared a role in her becoming the player and person that she is today.  I expect great things for her at the collegiate level”.

On her commitment, Bozzi said “I choose Suffolk because when I stepped on the campus, I fell in love with it. The school, coaches, and city felt like the right choice for me! I’m excited to start my college experience. I want to thank my parents, coaches, and friends for everything they’ve done to help me get this far!”

Congrats, Bozzi! Suffolk University Class of ’25.
