19U Forward heading to Hockey East

West Chester, PA – The Philadelphia Jr Flyers Girls are thrilled to announce the commitment of 2021 forward, Alyssa Wruble, to the University of Maine (NCAA D-I).  The Black Bears are a member of the Hockey East Conference, along with: Boston College, Boston University, UConn, Holy Cross, Merrimack, UNH, Northeastern, Providence, and Vermont.

Wruble is currently a winger for the 19U T1 team and is in her 2nd season with the Jr Flyers.  She attended the 2019 USA Hockey 16/17 National Development Camp in St. Cloud, MN.  Wruble is an elite speedster that competes hard in all 3 zones and is always a threat on the ice.  Her skating ability and aggression keeps defenders on their heels as she pushes the pace up ice.  Wruble is a high-motor player that plays with grit, making her excellent on the forecheck, backcheck, and penalty kill.

On her commitment, Wruble said “I chose The University of Maine because as soon as I stepped onto campus, it felt like a second home. I felt that it was the right fit for me all around - academically and athletically. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my friends, family, and coaches”.

Congrats and good luck to Alyssa! University of Maine – Class of 2025.
