The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers are pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending December 9, 2018. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2018-19 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Peewee, Bantam and Midget levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.
Bantam Player of the Week – Brandon Novabilski, Goalie, Bantam Major
The Collegeville, PA native had an outstanding weekend between the pipes for the ‘04’s. He had a combined .934 save percentage and 1.50 goals against average in two games this past weekend. In Saturday’s 3 – 1 win over the Connecticut Chiefs, he had a .958 save percentage, and he had a .929 save percentage in Sunday’s 2 – 2 tie against the New Jersey Devils. Novabilski helped his cause in the tie by having an assist in the game. “I give Brandon a ton of credit” stated head coach Roman Bussetti. “Since our other goalie has been lost to an injury, Brandon has had to play all our games. He has done an amazing job and it evident this weekend” concluded Bussetti.
