16UAAA team goes 4-0 at Penn State; have won 11 of last 12 games.

State College, PA - The Philadelphia Jr Flyers Girls 16U Tier 1 team made a big statement to the rest of the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL) at Pegula Ice Arena, home of the PSU Nittany Lions, this past weekend.  The girls in orange and black outscored their opponents 26-5 over four games, going 4-0 on the weekend and moving within striking distance of 1st place in the league standings.

The Jr Flyers are now 9-2-0-1 in JWHL play, with 68 GF-29GA.   With nearly 6 goals per game, it is no surprise that five (5) of the leagues' top 10 scorers play for the Jr Flyers.  The line of Syd Bradley (12g,8a), Kylie Aquaro (10g,8a), and Riley Grimley (8g,8a) has combined for 54 points.  Captain and UConn commit, Ava Rinker, has 5 goals and 13 assists for 18 points (tied for 3rd in the league) through 12 games.  Defenseman Alexa Davis rounds out the top-10 with 4 goals and 10 assists for 14 points.

The 16UAAA will be heading into the new year as winners of 11 of their last 12 games, including a current 6-game winning streak.
