The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers are pleased to announce the organization’s Players of the Week for week ending December 16, 2018. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2018-19 regular season that recognizes top performing players for the Peewee, Bantam and Midget levels. Only players that are recommended by their respective teams are considered for the Players of the Week award.

Bantam Player of the Week – Walker Schwartz, Forward, Bantam Major

This past weekend the 04’s traveled to Detroit for a Tier 1 Elite Showcase and Walker Schwartz was a key contributor to the team’s 2 – 2 record. The Layfette Hill, PA native had six points (4 goals and 2 assists). He had a goal and an assist in the team’s 4-2 win over Victory Honda, and he had goal against another powerhouse team – Belle Tire. He had two goals and an assist against the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite. “Our compete level was through the roof this past weekend” stated head coach Roman Bussetti. “Walker came through for us against some of the best teams in the country. I’m very proud of him” concluded Bussetti.
