15 National Team 2018/19
Three Jr. Flyers teams will be playing in the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association Districts this weekend at the Ice House in Hackensack, NJ. The three participating teams are: Bantam Major (’04), 15 Pure (’03) and 16U National Premier (‘02/’03).
The Bantam Major’s qualified for district’s by possessing a 6-5-4 record for 16 points in 15 district games. The 15U Pure team had 12-5-1 record for 25 points in 18 district games, and the 16U team a 9 – 5 record for 18 points in 14 district games.
Should the Bantam Major team win districts, they will advance to Nationals which will be held April 3 – 8 in Pittsburgh, PA. Should the 15 Pure team win districts, they will advance to Nationals which will be held from April 3 – 8 in Plymouth, MI. If the 16U’s win districts, they will be held April 3 – 8 in Grand Rapids MI.
The Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s (AYHL) playoffs start this weekend and four Jr. Flyers teams have advanced to the post season: Squirt Minor (’09), Bantam Minor (’05), 15 Pure (’03) and Midget 16U (‘02/03). The playoffs start on Saturday and will conclude on Monday. The games will be held at Ice Line and Oaks Center Ice.
Squirt Minor (’09)
The top six teams in the league at each level qualify based on regular season league play. The ’09 team finished in second place during the regular season with a 21-4-3 record for 45 points.
Bantam Minor (’05)
Bantam National Teams 1-4 automatically qualify. The first place American Team automatically qualifies. The final slot (#6) shall go to either the fifth place National Team or the second place American Team based on certain criteria. The ’05 team finished third in the National division with a 17-4-2 record for 36 points.
15U Pure (’03)
The top four teams in the league based on regular season league play qualify. The 15U Pure team (’03) finished in fourth place with a 20-9-1 record for 41 points.
Midget – 16U National Premier
The top four teams in the league advance based on regular season league play qualify. The 16U team finished in third place with a 14-7-1 record for 29 points.
Three Jr. Flyers teams (04, 15U and 16U) will participate in the District playoffs next weekend.
