‘04’s & ‘05’s win opening round of District Qualifiers

Breaking news: Jr. Flyers ’05’s defeat New Jersey Devils 5 – 1 while ‘04’s defeat New Jersey Avalanche 5 – 1 in the opening round of the AAHA district qualifiers tonight at Ice Line. Both teams will play their second-round robin tournament game tomorrow.

Four Jr. Flyers teams advance to AYHL Playoffs this weekend

Four Philadelphia Jr. Flyers teams have advanced to the Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s (AYHL) playoffs that begin Saturday, February 29 and conclude on Monday, March 2. The games will be held at Ice Line and Oaks Center Ice.

The teams that have advanced are: 15 Pure ’04, Bantam Major (’05), Pee Wee Major (’07) and Squirt Major (’09).

The 15 Pure ’04 team finished tied for first in the National Premier Division with a 21-6-0-2 record for 44 points. The top four teams advanced to the playoffs. There is a single game elimination, (1 v 4 & 2 v 3) and winners will advance to divisional Championship game.

The Bantam Major (’05) team finished in second place in the National Division with a 14-4-7-0 record for 35 points. The top four teams advanced to the playoffs and will play a round robin format with two highest seeded teams advancing to divisional Championship game.

The Pee Wee Major (’07) team finished second in the American Division with a 13-10-3-0 record for 29 points. The top four teams in the division advanced to the playoffs and will play in a round robin format with two highest seeded teams advancing to divisional Championship game.

The Squirt Major (’09) team finished in fourth place with a 15-13-0-0 record for 30 points. The top four teams advanced to the playoffs and there is a round robin format advancing to divisional Championship game.

7 Jr. Flyers to participate in AYHL 2020 All-Star Games

The Philadelphia Jr. Flyers are pleased to announce that seven members of its U15 and U16 teams have been selected to participate in the Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s (AYHL) all-star games to be held on February 1 at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.

Goaltender Mike Corrado, defensemen Quinn Dougherty and Grant Hineman and forwards Shane Edwards, Hank Reed and Walker Schwartz have been named to the U15 All-Star team.

Forward Andrew Ceglia has been named to the U16 All-Star Team.
