The Jr. Flyers Squirt Major team had a phenomenal weekend in Boston, MA at the Warrior National Showcase. They kicked off the showcase with two games on Friday, August 26th beating Wolfpack (6-0) and then another big win against Advantage Ice Elite (10-0). Saturday afternoon they dominated again beating Nova Scotia Selects (5-0) but took a tough loss to the Jr Warriors (0-3) putting their record at 3-1-0. They still placed first in their division which qualified them for the semi-finals against Team Virtua. Sunday morning kicked off the semi-finals and the Jr Flyers once again dominated with a huge win over their local rivalry, Team Virtual (4-1) to put them into the Championship game against the Boston Outlaws. The boys played their hearts out once again finishing on top with a 7-2 win for the Squirt Major Championship title. The boys performance all weekend was phenomenal, as was their teamwork. The coaching staff was extremely pleased and proud of these boys. So far this year the Jr Flyers Squirt Major team has gone two for two. Winning the Jr. Warriors Championship and were the Philadelphia Shootout Champions back in May. We wish them luck in the Tier 1 Elite Showcase at Ice Line this October as well as the Shanahan International Elite Hockey Tournament in Toronto this November.
